Bose Speakers are one of the largest manufactures of speakers and DVD systems in the world.
Bose faced a real challenge recently when market demand required additional production of DVD systems. They had to install two new manufacturing lines which presented a number of issues.
Manual handling of products from these new lines was one of the most difficult issues as there were 5 different size boxes with 35 different codes. Each code represents the model, its destination and colours.
LVP Conveyors (Okura Automations sister company in Ireland) immediately recommended the Okura Robot Palletiser Range, as it would provide the perfect solution to overcome the wide range of products and significantly reduce manual handling.
LVP and Okura easily integrated the new palletising system with their existing manufacturing lines and with some existing equipment. LVP & Okura worked closely with the client to get the system right to suit their application.
The result was the installation of a Robot Palletiser that completely integrated with the Bose system. The Robotic palletiser communicates with the Bose system via a bar code system. The Robot reads the information, sorts and lifts each box on to the correct pallet.

Integrating a new process to existing systems can often slow down production for a period and may prove a costly experience.
A cost effective and efficient solution was delivered to Bose with minimal disruption to production lines. Bose Speakers were very happy with the new system.
